Introduction

This guide will outline the steps to send a Secure Chat message in Epic.

  2. Once the patient's chart loads:

    • Once the patient's chart loads:

    • Click the Secure Chat Tab

  3. Select the With Staff tab

    • Select the With Staff tab

    • Click the New Chat button

  4. Enter the Doctor's name

    • Enter the Doctor's name

  5. Add SRS PBX

    • Add SRS PBX

  6. If you opened Secure Chat from a patient's chart, you can add them to the chat without needing to search.

    • If you opened Secure Chat from a patient's chart, you can add them to the chat without needing to search.

    • Select the Patient

  7. Type your message

    • Type your message

    • Click Send
